Insurance Manager
Location- Bristol
Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 basic plus £5,000 car allowance and bonus

Job objectives and responsibilities

Provide strategic insurance advice in support of the business objectives. Support the Group Insurance Manager with the delivery of all aspects of the insurance programme, including input to the bid process, annual insurance exercise, the integration of acquisitions and the identification and management of risk improvement projects.

Main duties
* Support of the PLC business objectives and all related policies and procedures.
* Provide support to the Group Insurance Manager where necessary and assist with the procurement of the insurance programme and management of all the processes that flow from this
* Manage the flow of information between the company and the insurance market ensuring compliant with all policy conditions and new risk exposures are notified immediately
* Input to the bid process and commercial contract wordings with clients and suppliers to ensure contractual compliance
* Provide day to day support to the divisions on all insurance related enquiries.
* Manage and update the insurance documentation on the companies Intranet
* Assist the Group Insurance Manager with the M&A process and integration of acquired companies into the annual programme where required
* Manage the gathering of data from the business and deliver the annual insurance renewal exercise
* Ensure the key insurance information available on the intranet is kept up to date and relevant
* Management of the RMIS system and provision of Claims MI to all divisions
* Monitor key trends and identify risk management opportunities.
* Manage relationships with Brokers, Insurers and key suppliers.

Essential Knowledge and Experience
* Comprehensive knowledge of the UK commercial insurance market
* Comprehensive knowledge of key classes of insurance and policy wordings
* Understanding of different methods of funding risk and experience in implementing appropriate risk financing programmes
* Ability and willingness to identify opportunities for improvements to current processes/procedures and to drive change
* Comprehensive knowledge of claims management with the ability to analyse and present data
* Desirable
* ACII Qualified (Chartered Insurance Institute)
