Senior Mobile Developer

Location: Bristol

Salary: Up to £50,000 (+ benefits)

Ambridge Harris is currently recruiting for a Lead Mobile Developer to join a client of ours based in Bristol.

You will need a passion for pushing technologies to the limits and will work in an Agile environment with our team of talented developers to design and build the next generation of mobile applications and connected devices. This role will give you the opportunity to work on innovative new products within a fast paced, supportive and forward thinking team.

As a Senior Mobile Developer, you'll be responsible for shaping the architecture and technical quality of our new mobile platforms (preferably both iOS and Android)

You will have significant experience in mobile development, having worked on both greenfield projects (building an app from scratch) as well as maintaining existing apps. You will be familiar with every stage of the Software Development lifecycle; from technical appraisal of requirements, through to delivery and testing.

You will be responsible for mentoring, review, and coaching of junior team members. You'll have operated as a leader and enabler before, and be a great verbal communicator of complex technical concepts.


  • You will ensure all developments are documented, meet high level design requirements e.g. data, user experience, architecture, security, quality & operations, as well as regulatory and industry standards.
  • Accurately report on development progress and issues within scrums, identifying remedial action when required to address problems and keep development on track.
  • Proactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and share information, ideas and best practice with other members of the team.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders and the wider organisation, so that the overall function operates professionally and is seen as delivery focused. Engage professionally with customers when required.
  • Provide input into platform design, offering advice and thoughts and providing feedback.
  • Demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management, estimations and task prioritisation. Work within project timelines and budgets.
