IT Service Desk Analyst

Location: Bath

Salary: £20,000-24,000 (+ benefits)

Due to an internal promotion, Ambridge Harris have been approached by our top 100 legal sector client in Bath to find an experienced IT Service Desk Analyst to join their busy service desk.

The Role:

In this role you will be instrumental in providing IT support to circa 600 users. In addition, you will assist with the management of the company network, servers and end user incident requests.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a main point of contact for all support queries

  • Accurately logging and triaging all support queries, taking ownership of the incident from the point of logging through to resolution

  • Creating and maintaining knowledge based articles on the firms service desk system

  • Regularly visiting other office locations to provide support

  • Carry out administrative tasks relating to the set-up and shut down of starters and leavers

  • Providing out of hours support on a one week in four rota

  • Assisting the Service Desk Manager with any Ad-hoc project work

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of working in an IT support position

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows Operating Systems

  • Experience or knowledge of BigHand, Elite, Worldox and Visual Files is desirable

  • Windows server, Citrix and VMWare experience would be advantageous

  • Analytical & methodical approach to problem solving
