IT Director


Location: West Sussex


Salary: Up to 80,000-90,000 (+ benefits including car)



Ambridge Harris have been asked on an exclusive basis to recruit for an IT Director to join a national, market leading client of ours based in West Sussex.



MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Working closely with the board, you will grow the organisation through the use of technological resources, communicating and championing the technology strategy to partners and key stakeholders.
  • Establish the technical vision, lead and oversee all aspects of the organisation's technological development, including its development and implementation.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, to assess the needs of the business
  • Provide sound technical leadership across the organisation.
  • Lead and champion the use of and adoption of innovative and new technologies that enable the company to continue and lead in being a pioneer in the delivery of its services and meeting the needs of the business and those it supports.
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the Technology Division to attain the organisations strategic goals established in the company's strategic plan and technology strategy.
  • Provide appropriate strategic advice on technology advancements, business systems, ICT development and AT solutions to SMT and departments to ensure the effective use technology that drives value through its use.
  • Champion and lead with the Director of Quality Assurance, the Information Governance and Security and ensure the organisation is appropriately and adequately protected and educated in relation to Information security practice, cyber security threats and information management processes
  • Improve standards in the usage and delivery of technology across all of the business areas to ensure the delivery of a high quality secure services.
  • Develop and maintain a strong professional presence with SMT, staff and external bodies to create a positive image through the proper application of technology and innovation and advancement within the function.
  • Provide direction and professional guidance to staff working in the Technology function to ensure a motivated team and a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, through effective performance management.
  • Ensure that all staff conduct their activities to the highest professional standards and in accordance with Group policies and procedures.



Education


  • A graduate or equivalent in a business/IT related discipline together with a post-graduate qualification or its equivalent.
  • Prince II or MSP or equivalent qualification in project and programme management
  • Corporate membership of a professional body with evidence of continuing professional development.



Experience


  • Demonstrable experience of senior leadership in Corporate, business or local government
  • Proven track record of success in leadership positions/managing staff



Knowledge


  • A proven capacity for original and strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts to build robust strategies.
  • Proven track record of delivering large scale programmes of change through technology
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning and driving value through business change and Technology.
