Professional Negligence Solicitor looking to join a Top Tier Legal 500 Firm who are also ranked in the Global Chambers 2017 with fantastic a root to progression? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic International Firm.
This Legal 500 firm has a first-class reputation for advising on complex and technical matters in the fields of construction, engineering and infrastructure, insurance, the professions and technology. It has a firm grounding with offices throughout the UK, Ireland and Dubai. Its dynamic approach to business, coupled with a sense of togetherness and integrity, is valued by its clients and staff alike.
This firm are looking to recruit a Professional Negligence Solicitor to join their modern office in Bristol.
Professional Negligence is a core part of the firm's insurance practice with its specialist teams acting on claims involving all professions. Experienced in handling complex and high-value claims, as well as more straightforward and cost-sensitive matters, the teams advise a spectrum of national and international insurers and insured's including construction professionals, solicitors, accountants and IFAs.
You will be acting via Insurers with the majority of work involving the defence of claims against Solicitors, Accountants and Construction Professionals. There will also be opportunities to work for other professions such as Barristers, Financial Advisers and Pensions Professionals. Additionally there may be occasional cases for Claimants and the team undertakes significant amounts of coverage work.
Candidates should therefore have a thorough understanding of Insurance Law and policy issues.
You should also have experience of:
* Preparing reports for Insurers with the ability to explain and advise succinctly on difficult and complex areas.
* Liaising with senior professional clients in a variety of disciplines.
* Managing the Insurer/Insured relationship being aware of potential conflicts.
* Preparing for Court cases at all levels, including case management documentation interlocutory applications, expert instructions, witness statements and trial preparation.
* Monitoring critical dates and ensuring compliance with Insurer service level agreements.
* Understanding all systems and procedures with attention to detail and have the ability to explain and advise clients on those procedures.
* Salary is dependant on experience.
